Civilization

August 8th, 2008 by saveearthcoolfren

Lately I have been thinking of this word ‘civilization’. Human being are selfish, and wicked people. They just can’t stop haunting people when they know you better. They just call, call, call and call without fails everyday every hour, even at nite. Why can’t they think of other when they want to do something. We are human and human have feelings and emotions. Just dun bark at me. Let me breath and walk my own life. I don’t want to know if you got problem or whatsoever, just leave me alone. Don’t bark and bark like a dog. I have enough of this stresses. One day, if they continue to bark and we end up hospitalize at mental hospital or whatever hospital, they will regret 4ever for their actions. Just leave me alone…sound weird , believe me the worst is yet to be told. God bless…

JB, I kinda redundant to go but somehow I braved myself  and manage stay there for 2 nites. On my first nite, I have my first bite on Malay style ‘Yong Tau Foo’. It is similar to the KL’s ‘Lok-Lok’ but you do not need to stand to boil the food. It was quite fun as I haven’t try this before (plus I don’t really go for Lok-Lok).Dsc00223_1

My coll brought me a very nice Malay food at Kawasan Nong Chik. This restaurant ‘Anjung Warisan’ is quite hidden unless you have a local people to drive you there. It was cosy and the service was good. We have our dinner up on a tree (not really a tree, but as high as a tree).  Their ‘Angklung’, a traditional Malay music instruments, impressed me. They even played latest hit song by using this ‘Angklung’. Dsc00226 Really ‘up-2-date’!!!

Well, I also have the chance to drop-by SAND WAREHOUSE (if you translate it to Malay, Pasir Gudang), I can have a kick on how my late-colleague’s workplace. A good and dedicated guy who smoked too much in his earlier life, end up having eye problem and diabetes. May god bless good people. Well, at least my stay in Johore does not scare me off to come here again..Dsc00225 Dsc00224

An inspiring story…

An inspiring story…

I met this person once; this guy had no look, a red nose, two fat legs, two long ears and a double chin.

This guy told me the reason

When god gave looks, I thought he said books, and I didn’t want any.

When god gave out noses, I thought he said roses, and I asked for a red one.

When god gave out legs, I thought he said beers, and I ask for two long ones.

When god gave out chins, I thought he said gins, and I ordered a double.

                    Rule of Thumb

God gave us two ears and one mouth, it is an indication that he expects us to losten twice as much as we should talk.

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but short tempers;wider freeways, but narrow viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less. We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees but less sense; more knowldege, but less judgement; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life; we’ve added years of life, not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour. We’ve conquered outer space, but not inner space; we’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we’ve split the atom, but not our prejudice.

We have higher incomes, but lower morals; we’ve become long on quantity, but short on quality. These are the times of tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships. These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

These are days of 2 incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes. It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom;a time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to forward this message and make a difference..or just hit delete.

Becoming adult has become very difficult nowaday. You must able to brave to handle (daily 24/7 or hourly) challenges (on and off). When things goes wrong, you will be responsible although you are not in the loop. I wish I can further my dream….hopefully…

Life in city are getting more tense or I could said maybe too fast. Everyday we are given different and additional task and duties that at that moment, we feel excited but after a while you will get bored.

Perfection do kills..everyone need to struggle very hard to able to enjoy their lives to the fullest. But it does need us to pay a price for it. All the sacrifice on time will never get the fullest return but the sense of happiness that we gain on the mission done is the light for us to move on further.

Should we continue to struggle and end-up not enjoying life?? This is a big question that many will unable to answer. Money is good to have but it cannot determine the level of happiness in the task that was performed with great appreciation by others. But money will never stop the time that has been passed. I prefer to enjoy…

Dillema as I can said, but no one in this earth will be 100% happy. They complained on things that they don’t own but do not appreciate the people and items that they are having now. Bored izit!!! Just cannot take it with people…people is the main creatures in this planet that make problem and solving them once it has become a problem..funny izit??

Lastly, may god lead us to the correct path and happiness.

If you know me well, I kinda addicted to TreAsURE hUNT. I have been hunting for nearly 5 years. With good guidance from my colleague and the knowledge and skills that I gained over the years, I finally able to crack some of treasures (that I am not good at). Motor hunt will be my favourite compare to walk hunt, that is walking up and down for answers. This year, the hunt started from my office till Damai Laut, Perak. The journey was tiring and the hot weather is killing us. The questions were extremely hard but I learned from my mistake and may take the challenge again later this month.

Dscn4374 Back to the recent hunt to Damai Laut. I have to wake up at 4am, leave the house at 5.30am and the mastermind (some1 that I know) was shocked to see me there so early. Have to coz not one will sent me to the flag-off area. But the problem was I was not sleeping for the whole nite due to tea that I took in the afternoon. Lesson learned.By 7.30 pm, the bosses were flagging off the cars. Some decorated their cars as prizes will be given for the best decorated ones.

Dscn4375 Dscn4392The hunt end at 3pm (all are given 7 1/2 hours) and we have to have our quick lunch in the car. Our driver and navigator were the one suffering the hunger. We are lucky to become the passengers as we can eat while looking for clues for the questions.

We were cracking our heads when we cannot see the answers. Sometimes how this uncle comes out with this questions. That maybe the answer of his baldness (no offense..just his prefenence of hair style on the 1st day I know him). We went through Tanjung Malim (my god-bro hometown) and then Teluk Anson (Teluk Intan). To find the pix, we have been rounding Menara Condong 4 to 5 times. Heard that the rojak there quite famous. But we didn’t stop to try. =(

We stopped at Pangkor jetty area to have our lunch. Then it took us 20 minutes to arrive the hotel. The winding road and lack of signboard confused us if we have using the correct path to the hotel.Dscn4112

The best part was we won something and meet up with people that I am familiar. Liliane and Shirley…thanks for supporting..hope u gals enjoyed the hunt. Additional to that, Shirley..ur mom is the best for preparing the costume. Can I ask to do mine for my annual dinner?? Dscn4117

My only regret that my fav racing idol Mike is not longer racing. Kinda excited on my 1st trip to the Formula One race. But disappointed when Ferrari did not win the race. Just hope that red team will win more races.

The hot weather really sweating us away. But I managed to get one t-shirt as souvenier. boss for letting me go but I still have to work on Sunday..hahaha. Luckily I did not get dark and back for good.

3rd May till 10th May 2007.

My stay in Korea kinda fantastic. Mixed feeling and reaction when I finally reached there. Korean are known for nice complexion and I cannot agree more. The views were spectacular and it was my first time seeing Spring. Flowers were everywhere and I wish Malaysia will flouded with flowers instead of water.

My trip covered the whole Korea including the famous island known as Jeju. But I was upset when as the ‘yellow’ flowers lessen as summer is replacing summer. The weather is 20% cooler than Genting but the wind at Jeju really blowing my hair and hat away. At Seoul, although the temperature is slightly higher than other rural area, we have to live with the heat. No air-con for 2 days.

Korean really keen in recycling. We have to pay for the plastic bag (not for Seoul) and at Jeju, you are allowed to pack all your stuffs in recycle-boxes provided by the supermarket. Bargaining is a difficult thing as we don’t know their language. Plus they don’t speak English. But if any of you are going there, the word ‘SAGE SAGE’ will come in handy. It simply means ‘cheaperloh’..

I took nearly 1000 pixs for this trip and someone I know tell me that if I am staying for a year so. Haha! I really wish I can stay there without the tour guides. As the tour guide look down on us (a long story on this), our eldest couple (70++ years old) and me & sis decided to challenge them. They stopped us at one of the well-known market (similar to Petaling street). We were like birds free from the cage..and we managed to walk back to the hotel (he threated us no cab will send us to the hotel and the journey will take 20 minutes). As the elderly couple are in our guidance, we need to be extra careful and make sure we don’t get lost. So I ask our of the security guard at one shopping mall. He was kind enough to lead me to the hotel. But he was talking in Korean..Hahah..maybe I used to watch korean drama, so I don’t have the fear kua. We safetly headed to the hotel and happy for the nite. The others which listen to the guide, felt cheated as they have to walk from hotel to the market but shops have been closed. (Malls there closed very early).

I maybe going there again..but of course less this travel agent, which look down on Malaysian. Do not carry liquid item as the airport security is tremedously tight and you don’t want on the last day at Korea a bad day of the trip. You will see them like ‘chicken and duck talk’..never ending story as they don’t understand our English.

Many will not like the food. But I kinda like their kimchi and miss it very much. So, I need to save more money for my next trip..maybe I will explore Autumn..very kawaii..

CPR~cPr

April 6th, 2007 by saveearthcoolfren

It was something that I would like to learn since school day. I was given a chance to attend two-day CPR and 1st aid training. It was conducted by cool people who used to work in Emergency Room (ER) and they are experienced in CPR.

The training was fun and I cannot recall how many times we are giving CPRs to the dummies. We gave CPRs to infant, children and adult. Different technique to different categories of ages.

We were taught to handle on injuries, especially neck injuries. The most interesting and I find it the best was the ‘drama’ section. The guys actually acting out the victim part and we need to response when it happens. We even cut one of our vicitms pant (one of our manager) coz he had leg injuries. We have to ‘x-ray’ our victim and comfort him from the shock. Plus if someone chocked, you really need the strenght and technique to push the victim’s stomach. I have to do few attempts before I can get the food stucked in the mouth to be out. Very interesting and fun indeed!!

InpRoper Code of Conduct

March 23rd, 2007 by saveearthcoolfren

Can anyone tell me what is the proper code of conduct for any doctors or medical practitioners? Nowadays I ever wonder the main reason of people studying medicine. Are they really learned to help people or to build their own wealth by giving public treatment.

Lately, I heard a case whereby the patient was sent to the hospital after a motorbike’s crash. He is supposedly under the care and treatment by the ‘expert of medicine’. But they overlook on his conditions, as they did not x-ray for internal bleeding. Few days later, he died. They managed to silent this case by not revealing the medical report to the victim’s family. What is our right?

Few days ago, I questioned the clinic doctor on putting the stethoscope inside the T-shirt. Although it was not very obvious action, but after my small query, he became mad and told me it is the normal practice of doctor to put the stethoscope as such. But all these while, other doctors did inspect me but they just put the stethoscope on to the blouse. He was talking out loud and suggested us to go this hospital and look for Dr So and so. He was determined that this doctor was doing that. He said all doctors bind by their oath. But how could tell your sick patient on other doctor’s behaviour. Does it mean it will protect him and ethically correct? We should be given proper treatment and respect. People do not like to go to the clinic if they are in good condition. Plus he was complaining that I was indirectly saying him as HUM SUP (Bitchy in English).

Do you ever wonder the reason behind SARs and other diseases? It was meant to test our professionalism and humanity toward human being. Doctors must give their priority toward their patient. Sorry if I’m discrimating the doctors but I feel we need to know our right and to make this world a better place. Doctors should not ask where are we working, as they like to charge according to our company name and profession. Instead put more concentration to our patients’ pain.

Just a humble complaint, and that’s all for now folk! Just take good care of your GF or lady friends.
